1Do students have to wear costumes for performances?
No, only 1 APDA leotard is required for the year. They can be purchased brand new or second hand.
2Do students need previous dance experience?
No, the wonderful thing about APDA is that it caters for all levels and abilities.
3Do you hold exams?
No we don’t, however we offer exciting opportunities throughout the year to showcase our syllabus. These performances range from local community events to official APDA competitions and performances. The performances enhance and encourage goal setting and personal achievements. The students are given the choice of participating in team events to represent their club and individual competitions. With these yearly events our members learn essential skills such as team building and sportsmanship. APDA prides itself on nationals competitions being held in the finest Australian venues such as The Sydney Opera House and the ICC.
4Do you offer a free trial class?
Yes, we offer 1 free trial class. Bookings are essential and require you to complete our registration form to secure your booking. Once your trial is complete, and you wish to join a class, you will need to register again via our Registration page.
5How long is a term?
We run similar to school terms ranging between 9-10 weeks. We break for school holidays, however offer holiday classes and workshops from time to time.
6The term has already started. Is it too late?
It’s never too late to join the IDC family. Students can join anytime, including mid-term. We will adjust fees accordingly so you only pay for the remainder of the term.
7What do the students wear?
We have our very own uniform that most students purchase and wear to class. It makes it easier to know what to wear to class each week and great for our community performances!
8What styles of dance do you offer?
We are affiliated with APDA- Australian Physie & Dance association. APDA is a fusion of Physie and the art of dance, where they have created a multi-genre syllabus where members learn 4-6 choreographed routines throughout the year, each with its own specific skill-set and focus on movement, musicality, technique, performance, flexibility, cardio and strength- all in the one class!

We run out of Holy spirit Anglican Church, Kenmore.
